Contributing tothe Foundation

Fabric Payment Standards is built through collective effort. Learn how individuals and organisations can contribute to specifications, tooling, and governance.

Contribution Model

Open process,structured governance

All contributions to Fabric Payment Standards — whether to specification text, reference implementations, documentation, or governance processes — follow a transparent, community-reviewed process.

The Foundation operates on the principle that the best standards emerge from broad participation. Domain experts, implementers, and end-user organisations each bring indispensable perspective to the work.

Contribution guidelines, Contributor Licence Agreements (CLA), and detailed workflow documentation are currently being finalised and will be published here prior to the public contribution portal launch.

  • 📝 Specification Contributions Propose amendments, extensions, or new specification tracks via the RFC process.
  • 🔧 Reference Implementations Build and maintain open-source implementations that demonstrate real-world protocol compliance.
  • 📚 Documentation & Translation Improve technical documentation and expand language coverage for global accessibility.
