Membership Programme

Sustainingopen standards

The Fabric Payment Standards Foundation is an independent, non-profit body. Institutional membership provides the financial foundation that allows the Foundation to operate without dependence on any single sponsor, maintain neutral governance, and sustain the working group infrastructure that produces and refines specifications.

Member organisations receive representation on advisory bodies, early access to draft specifications, and the ability to nominate candidates for Working Group chairs and the Technical Committee.

The membership programme and member directory are managed through the dedicated members portal. The public member listing will be maintained here as an ongoing record.

  • 🥇 Founding Member Reserved for organisations that joined during the Foundation's formation period. Includes a permanent seat on the Steering Committee.
  • 🥈 Principal Member Full voting rights in Technical Committee elections and Working Group formation. Priority access to conformance testing programmes.
  • 🥉 Associate Member Observer status in governance bodies with the right to submit comments on all active RFCs and draft specifications.
  • 🎓 Academic & Non-Profit Member Concessionary tier for universities, standards bodies, and non-profit research institutions. Full observer rights.
